Pu'u o Mahuka Heiau and North Shore Lunch

The ancient places of worship were called "heiaus" and although the Hawaiians converted to Christianity, abandoning their primitive religion which worshipped hundreds of gods and made human sacrifices, we all recognize the heiaus as having been sacred at one time.

Pu'u o Mahuka Heiau.

This heiau overlooks the now famous surfing location, Waimea Bay, which is where the Eddie Aikau event is held providing the waves are large enough!

Lunch -- let's head to Cholos at the North Shore.  Here's a building we just sorta like.

From Margaritas to Tostadas . . . a nice place.
