The plantation was much more interesting than we thought it would be. Did you know that each plant has only 2 production years? It takes 18 months to 2 years to produce the first fruit, and then another year to produce one more pineapple, and then the plant pretty much calls it quits.
There's a huge maze here in the pineapple field, but we wanted to romp in it with our grandkids, so we'll have to wait for that 'til our return in 6 months, along with a train ride Ben will love!
